Flood Test Facility
M3 Floodtec’s purpose-built Flood Test Facility was developed to support the research, development and demonstration of Property Flood Resilience (PFR) systems under controlled flood conditions. Located at our Worcestershire manufacturing site, the facility is one of only three British Standards Institution (BSI) approved flood testing centres in the UK and supports testing to BS 851188-1:2019+A1:2021 for flood resilience products.
Industry-Leading Innovation
Designed to replicate real-world flood conditions, the Flood Test Facility provides a controlled environment for product testing, development and demonstration. In 2019, the facility was upgraded to meet the requirements of the newly introduced BS 851188, adding advanced wave simulation and impact testing.
These capabilities allow products to be tested across a range of realistic flood scenarios and help us continue to develop and refine flood resilience systems as industry requirements evolve.
Real-World Flood Demonstration
Integrated within the facility is the fully operational Flood House demonstration centre. Built as a typical residential property, it is fitted with flood doors, windows, barriers, airbricks and below-ground flood resilience measures to demonstrate how Property Flood Resilience systems work together during a flood event.
The Flood House allows visitors to experience simulated flooding from both inside and outside the property, providing a practical demonstration of how professionally installed flood resilience measures can help reduce water ingress and limit flood damage.
